Warranty policy

CARPAT SPORT LIMITED WARRANTY (2026-07-21)

This Warranty Policy establishes the rights and obligations of the seller and the consumer with respect to products purchased through our website. The policy is drawn up in accordance with Law no. 140/2021 on the sale of products and the guarantees associated with them. The seller declares that the consumer has the right to corrective measures from the seller, free of charge, in the event of non-conformity of the goods.

 

WARRANTY PERIOD

The products sold benefit from a legal guarantee of conformity for 2 years from the date of delivery of the product to the consumer (subject to the terms and conditions below).

The guarantee applies only to the original owner and is not transferable.

 

WARRANTY CLAIMS

To benefit from the guarantee, the buyer must provide the seller with the following information:

  • the purchase document (tax receipt, invoice) or order number;
  • the product name;
  • description of the claimed defect.

Except as described herein, the seller does not grant any guarantees, insurances or other representations of any kind, which are rejected. In all cases, the seller's liability is limited to the total value of the purchased product.

To initiate a warranty claim, information must be submitted via our warranty claims form at carpatsport.ro/pages/warranty-claims.

 

OBJECT OF THE WARRANTY

This warranty does not cover and/or is permanently lost in the following cases:

  • normal wear and tear (including, but not limited to, cosmetic wear);
  • parts exposed to friction and intense wear (examples: bicycle tires and tubes, chains, sprockets, cables, brake shoes, brake discs and pads, saddles, brake levers, gear shifters, threaded assemblies with damaged threads);
  • the bicycle was assembled improperly with the user manual received upon purchase;
  • the bicycle was repaired or overhauled in other locations or by other than specialized persons;
  • the bicycle may fail due to accident, abuse, neglect, weather conditions (corrosion or discoloration due to prolonged exposure to sunlight or humidity) or failure to follow the seller's usage specifications (including, but not limited to, use of the bicycle on terrain other than that for which it was designed or in any competitive event such as bicycle racing or similar activities, including training activities for such events) or any other circumstances where the product has been subjected to forces or loads exceeding its designed limit;
  • the bicycle has been stored incorrectly/under improper storage conditions;
  • the bicycle has been modified, including, but not limited to, any attempt to disassemble or repair any associated components or elements;
  • the bicycle has not been serviced every 6 months.

This warranty does not cover personal injury, bicycle damage or other loss caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, abuse, wear and tear beyond normal limits, improper assembly and maintenance, or subjection to forces or loads beyond the design limit.

In the event of any discrepancy between the Romanian version and any translation into any other language, the Romanian version shall prevail.
